Ottawa, May 11, 2016. At a special Awards Dinner which took place at the National Arts Centre, and in the context of the Canadian Council for International Cooperation’s annual conference, the Ontario Council for International Cooperation received a Public Engagement award for their innovative work on “Transformations” – a photojournalism project done in partnership with World Accord and their partner in Nepal, Women for Peace and Democracy (WPD). Transformations focuses on the work done to empower marginalized women in Nepal and on the partnership that has developed between WPD and World Accord. The online photojournalism exhibit can be found here. There was also a short video done on the project and it can be seen here.
